Description

The Côtes du Rhône Villages Nyons are present in 4 communes: Nyons, Mirabel-aux-Baronnies, Piégon and Venterol.
The vineyards are swept by the mistral, and also by a current of air coming from the Alps, the Pontias. These winds are important for the health of the vines. In addition, this brings an airy freshness to the Côtes du Rhône Villages Nyons.

Legend has it that Caesarius, a holy man, captured this wind from elsewhere, and brought it here by carrying it in his glove.

Also, the region is famous for its olives and its colorful lavender fields.
