Description
Although the majority of Côtes du Rhône Villages wines are reds, and most often produced on the east bank of the Rhône, for Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun, we are in the heart of the west bank, or right bank, and they produce highly sought-after white wines, as well as red wines. For the record, the white wines of this appellation were very popular and were even served in the royal courts of Henri IV and Louis XII.
Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun extend over 3 communes Laudun, Saint-Victor-la-Coste and Tresques in the Gard department. Between the surrounding hills and wooded clearings, the vines find freshness and shade.

Aromas
The white wines are fresh. This freshness is brought by the sandy soils of the Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun. We find aromas of yellow fruits, exotic and floral notes.
As for the red wines, they have a beautiful roundness which is brought by the more stony soils of the bottom of the valley, and they have aromas of black fruits, red fruits and spices.
Grape varieties
In the red wines, Grenache noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre are the main grape varieties.
For the whites, we are on dominant Grenache blanc and Clairette blanche, completed by Roussanne and Viognier.
